The Safari Highlands Ranch EIR has hit a major snag and will now be delayed until early 2017. By all accounts, the SHR EIR was in it’s final stages of preparation and due to be released to the public imminently. We have now learned that there are several issues that Concordia will be heading back to the drawing board on which will result in a significant delay in the release of the EIR. As we have long known, there are major issues to overcome when attempting to bring urban sprawl to 1,100 acres of pristine undeveloped open space. More details will likely emerge in the coming days.
